Analyse Two Adverts



On Agency

This Greenpeace advert is to raise awareness of Global Warming and the harms of oil. The first thing you are drawn to in the advert is the big bold letters that spell 'GREED' it is in black which instantly makes the reader associate the word with the color. The way they've portrayed the word greed makes it seem very bad. The second thing we are drawn to is the very lovely background of Antarctica which is very different from the background to greed as it is a very clear and pretty color. The tagline 'we see pristine wilderness' gives the idea of some of the cleanest land in the world and how its is being destroyed by oil. It is also in relation to the other tagline 'all oil companies see is profit' which instantly makes them the bad guys. This advert is targeted at anyone. It uses a picture of a polar bear which makes people think about that side of things. The advert is trying to get people to join Greenpeace through either a petition or giving money every month towards the charity.

This advert is for a local indian take away. The ad features various photographs of fresh food with plenty of different colours which indicates that they are using freshly grown local food. They also have a list of things they say you expect from a good takeaway and they are showing that they offer all of those things.

The adverts uses certain words which imply a very good quality of food and very professional chefs; such as 'specialist fine indian food'.

It also shows the menu and how simple the lay out is. This makes the audience feel like they are already linked and have some knowledge of the food they can buy. It opens the idea of the audience ordering from inder's kitchen. It also shows the £5 off a meal voucher. This gives the audience the idea of getting a special offer already before they have even ordered. Which normally will make someone want to order from that place.

The use of the fresh peppers/ chili in the background of the advert puts the idea of fresh spices in the audiences mind.

The whole vibe of the advert is good quality fresh produce with good service and it is very simple which sort of adds the idea to a simple and easy procedure when ordering from Inder's kitchen
